Allocation Process

Never say never, I applied and was rejected twice for the NGT. In the summer of 2021, I had decided I was not going to pay retail and purchased a 911GT3 RS. The following week I received a call from Michigan, thought it was spam, decided to answer because I had a Bronco on order and thought the call could be related to the Bronco, turned out it was Ford Performance who said they had a buyer fall through and a NGT was available if I wanted it (I did). Still can't believe that happened.

So…you took the car, right? Sounds like a fairy tale ending—you got a NFGT and a GT3RS!

Did you go to any of the race events?
Actually no, seemed like the race events were geared for NGT owners / allocation holders, but I have tracked my 2005 GT a number of times since I purchased it 9 years ago. I'll never know how it happened. I have a few Fords or Ford Powered cars (Pantera, early Kirkham Cobra; my 65 Mustang FB (700HP Coyote) was featured in a few magazines (when car magazines existed).

Very excited about the New GTD - I am the original owner of a 2005 Ford GT but had no luck on the new FGT (though I am actively looking for one now). I am hoping to get lucky on the allocation process this time around...after all I think I am a pretty good Ford brand ambassador ;)
Current Fords in the the garage and on the road ( drive them all )

This Gold GT40 will be revealed at SEMA this year in the Superformance booth. Under construction
RD…. Nice Garage. Would love to see more pictures 👍

Excited to be here.

I own five 2022 GT500 CFTP’s.

One I drive (race red one), 4 others to collect and cherish (Heritage, Atlas, Cyber, and White).

Also bought a wrecked 2020 GT500 CFTP that we brought back to life, and building into a full track car.

Would love to add a GTD and Dark Horse S to the stable.

I wonder if Ford could sell these with a Proof of Usage requirement ... a min of X miles per year; maybe submit a pic of your ODO each of the first 2 years, with your title, registration or coin in the pic. Assuming miles is a goal.

Well, maybe a pain / expensive to remind, collect, review and enforce.

Haha, something like this "attestation," humorously addressing a serious concern, at a recent college counseling session, as a reminder for applicants to stay true to oneself, or perhaps more importantly, to stay true to others.

Another option, rather than trying to out-attend, out-participate, and/or out-collect others, perhaps just be your own passionate, sincere, and authentic self.

And like others have said, most of all, enjoy the journey...

Has anyone who received a chip received any further communication from Ford since Vegas or Monterrey?

I would not be surprised if its at least 6 months. Remember cars are slated to arrive late 24 or 25. Does anything seem to happen on time (or on budget)? So if early 25, realistically, that's still what ~ 15 months out?

Time will tell.....

Going off the GT allocation process and timeline, the application process didn’t open until April 13 and only was open for a month. It wasn’t until July 28 that the acceptance/rejection letters went out and only a handful of cars were delivered by years end.

Here’s the old release for those wanting to reminisce.

Keep in mind Negotiations with UAW and EV battery plant cancellations, FORD is very busy.

I just ordered a 2024 F-350 and was quoted as much as 6 months and they still don’t have the massaging seat functionality lost from Covid supply issues. And this date was a questimate.

Time will tell. Patience is a virtue.

Agree. I only mention what I did because of the email received after the reveal that states:

"Our Mustang® GTD Team will contact you within the next 30 days to provide you with more details about the full application process."

Obviously no rush on my end, just curious if anyone else has heard anything.

Did you receive an email or any type of contact? Want to make sure I didn't delete or miss anything.

Since the GTD was revealed it's probably the car I have been most excited about possibly owning. To be honest, I was heartbroken when my NGT application was denied, but one can only hope that this one gets accepted. Would love to daily it for a bit.

Just confirming, Vegas attendees do need to apply when the public application window opens but will we be notified of the application window somehow? Just want to make sure I don’t miss it, I’ve been thinking about it for weeks now 😃
