GTD IN THE FLESH

There has been two different stripes shown on CF. The red chroma flame with a wider separated stripe. And the smaller center holographic blue
@dbk already confirmed my previous post pointing out the difference months ago that the thinner stripe is the current version.

Still need screens for street use. ( any carbon fiber at bottom of doors or underneath?)

The above is the only stripe configuration on the carbon series. It can be body color, or a different color. You can also remove the stripe completely.

The Chroma Flame configuration was ditched.
Dang, I really liked the split stripes on that red one. Oh well

Maybe I've missed something somewhere... Do we know what stripes will look like on a "regular" GTD without the carbon series option?

Many thanks!

Not sure how but you must have been reading that post wrong. As it relates to the MP cars, the options were limited because they want to produce the cars as soon as possible with a simplified amount of components needed for the builds. The options at launch beyond Job 1 have changed because some hardware became late availability and some options that the public never saw went away completely. It has nothing to do with customer interaction, I can assure you.
i'm talking about customer builds and if someone said "i want the performance package but i don't want the sound deadening removed or the magnesium wheels" and they said - "it's all or nothing" - give me a break. it's a $400 k custom car.

any company that's not responsive to customers has a name - bankrupt.

look at what happened with the gt, it got more detailed and individualized.

this is an interesting look into a very strange sub-culture. we have one 'insider' gatekeeper dribbling out information and all the prospective buyers of a fucking car groping around in the dark looking for accurate information. the corporations really have people dancing a jig.

If someone said "I want the performance package but I don't want the sound deadening removed," I can spoil the surprise of what you're getting: the sound deadening removed. That's not how it works, for a variety of reasons. They don't have a Sonderwunsch division at MM to complete one-off requests, and there needs to be agreement between the systems at Flat Rock, Jackson Dawson, Multimatic and Ford for vehicle builds, which is extremely complicated to begin with. It's a production car; they can't just leave a post-it on the side that says "put the sound deadening back in this one."

I will definitely look into what happened with the GT. Can you point me to where I can learn more details about that program and how it evolved over time? I'm interested to learn more.

Speaking of interesting subcultures, I've never understood the point of people screaming into the void of the internet about things they aren't buying. Now that is strange.

so building them by hand like a race car doesn't mean they can be customized beyond lump sum packages. useless then, completing one (or two - whatever) cars a day is just like a robotic assembly line. oddly there were all sorts of gts i've seen that were very customized aesthetically, all carbon with red/white/blue details and little american flags. the last one to roll off i believe had a little maple leaf inlaid in the console (?).

this has just been a distraction from my regular work surrounding geopolitics/economics but trust me when i tell you that you don't want to know about it.

enjoy your gatekeeper status.

Trust me, it took me ten years and a whole bunch of shit you wouldn't believe to get that done. :ROFLMAO:

i honestly couldn't care less, you wouldn't either if you were looking at what i'm looking at.

it's pathetic that buying a car is like this, especially that a $400 k custom car requires this song and dance.

Getting back to stripes, agree, really do not like thin single stripe on carbon series!! Car has badass wide fender flares , tires etc. This puny single stripe looks out of place! Love the stripes on 2nd and 3 rd generations GT IMO! Just some feedback!!

Just to throw salt on wounds, I like the new stripe, and will love it. Let's remember here, you don't have to order the stripe, and I think like I have told many of my customers, throwing a shit fit will definitely not help move this along.

The non-CS stripe is much wider, fills the gap between the hood vents and goes basically to the edge of the hood.
