Note.

The magnesium wheels we saw at Lemans clearly had word magnesium on them. The Ford representative said available not included with Performance package.

they're likely defining and refining the various "packages" in more specific granular ways as a result of interacting with the first customers in line in a more detailed way. i'd want all the tech. but none of the sound deadening removed, for example. colour is completely secondary, the 'carbon edition' is nice but for what price?

i don't think anything nefarious is going on, they've likely got into it in depth with the first 20 (or whatever) customers and are figuring out how to configure things. it's the bottleneck and why communication has slowed to a trickle as they get it sorted. that's my guess/interpretation. not everyone wants magnesium wheels but they want the rest of the tech./performance?

Not at all.
so you were wrong?

They are going to deliver a small number of pre-Job 1 cars that were spec'd with limited options to dealers that were awarded via lottery. They've only contacted a very tiny number of people outside of that at this point.

The options are pretty much what we've discussed here. As of right now there were a couple things that went away and a couple things that got added but it's nothing crazy. The biggest thing that will take time is the various paint/stripe combos. You can get black roof, black roof and hood, black roof and hood with body color accent stripe, black roof and hood with deviated accent color stripe, body color roof, body color roof with accent stripe, carbon roof, etc. There's a lot of ways to spec the aesthetic.

I'm sure it will all end up online soon.

what's the bet that things get more granular on the lump sum 'packages', more like euro. specs. as they're a limited run car.

wave your big d*ck and place your bets.

so you were wrong?

Not sure how but you must have been reading that post wrong. As it relates to the MP cars, the options were limited because they want to produce the cars as soon as possible with a simplified amount of components needed for the builds. The options at launch beyond Job 1 have changed because some hardware became late availability and some options that the public never saw went away completely. It has nothing to do with customer interaction, I can assure you.

What did you express as a preference for order timeline?

Great to see the GTD in person again today at the South Orange County Cars and Coffee event. Crowd reactions were positive from what I saw / heard this morning. Fit and finish appear to be quite good. I like the paint.

That color is growing on me

Thanks for posting. Gave me a much better feel for what the car actually looks like in person.
- it’s weird how some cars just don’t photograph well, be it shape/curves or paint color, etc. I had a Lotus Evora - that thing was gorgeous in person, meh in pictures. I have a McLaren with volcano orange paint- you can’t capture the color in a photo.

I was totally unimpressed til I saw it in person, an in-your-face bad-ass car

I know that is exposed CF, but I hope that's not what a stripe treatment looks like... As said before, maybe pictures just don't do it justice...

There has been two different stripes shown on CF. The red chroma flame with a wider separated stripe. And the smaller center holographic blue

Here are a few more snaps I took.

Paint from a different angle and lighting direction, cantilever suspension shot through the rear window glass from exterior, front portion of hood stripe from a different angle.

This video from the same event is a pretty good watch as well. Sounds like the lockout price for the 1of1 paint is 50k. I’m assuming that’s for the paint job and the lockout and not just the cost to lock it out.

Looks like we are going to need the screens behind the front wheels like the GT to protect from rock chips!

Doesn't really matter too much, but I was told originally the doors were not CF due to impact rating, then I heard they were, now this says they are not. Just curious, Can anyone confirm?
