Allocation Process

Watching BAT and all the auctions I think anyone who still owns has and logged over 1,000 miles on the NFGT could be given a GTD allocation and the number would be very small. LOL
Happy to be a part of that club—and mine includes track miles, just after the 500 mile break-in!

Any updates/words on how many GTDs will be produced? Last speculation was 2k.

Interesting thoughts—— YES I still have BOTH OF MINE:
-2006 Midnight blue - 15,000 miles
-2017 Liquid Blue - 12,000 miles
But I know previous owners who flipped theirs and tried to CONVINCE me to sell mine too.
..as they were “worried “ about parts, warranty , service
Waa waa waa ….

The "flipless" club might be small in number, but it's definitely big in hearts and smiles.

Fun GTG at a local meet last Saturday. These young enthusiasts patiently waited until the end of the meet, because they wanted to get some rolling shots of my NFGT. They were so happy and they sent me a nice compilation video after the event. There is hope for the future of our society! Get the cars out there so they don't dream of EVs and Tesla Cybertrucks.

Ah that's beautiful. I really want to get a Ford GT as an additional track car but they seem to fall into two camps:
1. Museum piece with 10 miles that has appreciated to a silly price.
2. Higher mileage ones that are owned by people who will never sell it.

I kick myself a LOT for missing out on the 50K mile GT that was on BAT a couple years ago.

When I was a Apex at the last rally, Raj told me to try track mode, and that it really changes the car. He was so right--the FGT comes ALIVE on track! Feels like my race car, but with a license plate! Super crisp turn in, and the brakes are out of this world! That said, it's probably an expensive car to track regularly (and super expensive if you wreck it).

I read something on the socials that the application process closed with 7500 entries. Anyone else see that number? I think at the Amelia Island show that were up to 6000-ish.

That was North American numbers. Still have the rest of the world.

If 7,500 is the North American application numbers for the GTD, I wonder if ROW numbers might be 2,500 or so...

I still have my 2005 and my 2019 FGTs
Original owner of both.
I've had the 05 since 04/2009 and the 19 since 12/2018.
That's 15 and 5.4 years respectively.
Time sure flys dosen't it!
Not worried about parts etc etc.
As long as I can see over the steering wheel they'll be in my stable. Heck, I still have my 2012 Boss 302 I took to rally 6.
Maybe I should have applied for a GTD.
Hopefully there will be a second round,
but I doubt it.

Wow, 7500 1-minute videos is 125 hours ... or about 60 full length movies. I assume Dave is the one who watches them all and ranks them.
