List of Certified New GTD and FORD GT Service Center s

Do your self a favor. If your calling your local dealer, ONLY start the conversation with the GM, not a person on the floor.

I would never service my GTD at some crummy Ford dealer. I go to a shop that specializes in race car setup

I’m a little late to this thread, but as a Ford Dealer in NW Ohio, I can comment that all dealers had to submit separate enrollments within DPES to be delivering & servicing dealer. Delivering dealers have less requirements than Servicing dealers but geographic location will be reviewed. As someone stated earlier in this thread, all servicing dealers must purchase specific trailer, specialty tools, appoint a tech champion and send to training. All dealers will go thru an approval process. I submitted for both and still waiting to find out if I can deliver my own GTD or if I’ll go through another Ford dealership for both…
Answers should be coming soon with production to start in a few weeks. I’m in the Detroit region and my FCSD reps don’t have any answers yet.

My apologies to all for not getting the news out earlier. It seems that Ford has agreed that in the best interest of GTD owners that it would make it GTD servicing only Dealerships.

its my understanding that at PMF you guys have a trailor to pick up GTs for servicing, correct?

If so what’s the max distance you will travel?

Is there a service charge for transportation?

All the "servicing dealers" were required to buy s specific Jimglo trailer. How far they go is a function of geography and next closest servicing dealer. Owners in Idaho have to get their cars to Seattle for service. There is no servicing dealer in Chicago. Closest is in El Paso, IL, about 150 miles south. My servicing dealership is 28 miles away, so I have it easy, but they have offered to pick my car up or drop off. If I remember correctly, if car was under warranty, the ride was free.

Living in PCB FL we are going to end up having to deal with long distance servicing if through Ford. I have heard there is a GT servicing dealer in Jacksonville…4.5-5 hr drive from us 🤮

I will not be taking my GT or GTD to Seattle, most likely ever. I will be repairing and servicing it myself. I purchase allot of parts from one of the local Ford Dealers but have always just repaired my stuff. As I have talked with them about GTD delivery they really know nothing about it so most likely go to the out of state dealer and just have it arrive at my shop. Still wondering about costs and taxes, I have guessed at my expense and think the GT is looking like my second most expensive car.
