GTD (Width) Will I need a Lift Gate Trailer?

I've heard 2" wider than a DH. My 2021 M1 HP barely fits (width) in my 40' Intech Stacker Trailer. Probably get some trick race ramps to get over the inside Wheel Wells. Love to get the GTD on the Top Lift, need to figure this out.

Any word on exact dimensions? Plus ride height with the axle lift system.
This is also my concern. Our 2020 350R barely fits with an inch and half on each side into our Stacker. This GTD is going to be inches wider! I don’t think it will fit! We may be adding a trailer to the mix! And do not get a trailer with wheel wells inside! It won’t fit!

Custom ramps, plus I tilt the front of the lift. Will post photos when we unload at Indianapolis next week….

So does anyone have definite numbers on the track width(tire to tire from driver to passenger) of the GTD?I am building a stacker and want to make sure I can fit the GTD. TIA

I’ve seen pics of GTD in a trailer. (Possibly a JimGlow). It’s very tight.
If you have 83.5” between and fenders you should be ok.

I can tell you all this. It is wider than a 17-22 GT and will not fit in the Jimglo trailer. You are going to need a trailer that is wider than 83" inside width. 85.5 should be ideal.

Just wait until you got the

I figured it is wider than the GT . Inside clearance is not the problem nor is overall width ( mirrors ). It is in between the inside fender wells of the trailer. Can’t believe this car is wider than the Braptor. I measured the GTD at Daytona and seem to remember 82” but not sure now. I can make the trailer 83.5 between the inner fender wells but that is it.At 83.5” it is more than 4” wider than my 21GT.

You could consider raising the trailer's floor to go just over the interior fenders.

I measured the 05 GT rear tires width and it was 78.5 if I remember correctly. My trailer inner fenders are 83-84". Seems like it should be OK.

I need the height inside the trailer and wouldn’t want lose the 8-10” . Will make trailer har to sell later on

We tried it with a GTD and we couldn't get the driver door side removable trailer fender back on. It is def wider than the GT.

yeah this is a problem I can gain an inch and a half by going with 7k axles instead of 8k but that limits the load rating obviously. The other option is to make both fenders removable and put the GTD on the top which I think will work.

We have a Feather Lite toy hauler with 82" space between the fenders. Its 8000# axles with 17.5" wheels witch I won't give up.
We had this trailer custom built for our 67 Caddy convertible. I was amassed when we bought the Shelby (2020) how tight it fits. I'm thinking of building removable aluminum ramps to go over the wheel wells. It will be cheaper than a new trailer and not much wait.

Just wanted to update this thread since I received confirmation from the GTD Concierge team that the GTD measures 2066mm from sidewall to sidewall at the front and 2090mm from sidewall to sidewall at the rear. Cheers!

OK, I barely know what a "mm" is 🤪 so I asked google and 2066 mm = 81.34" and 2090 mm = 82.28"

For reference on my 2005 Ford GT, the front tire sidewall-to-sidewall distance is 74", and the rear tire sidewall-to-sidewall distance is 77".

... ie the GTD is one wide mutha!

BTW, in my 2 year old EZ Hauler enclosed car hauler, the distance between the fenders inside the trailer is 81.5", so the space I have to work with at the rear tires is 81.5" - 77" = 4.5" ... divided by 2 = 2.25" on each side ... she tight! So I drew accurate full-length front-to-rear lines on the trailer floor with a permanent marker at 74" / 2 = 37" left and right of the trailer's centerline, so as long as my GT's front tires are close to staying on either of those lines the car makes it in fine. Actually, I extended the lines all the way out onto the tailgate and flip-up extension ramp, and even along my home made low profile ramps, so I can get the car's front tires on line ASAP when loading. Works good. See the black lines along the left and right edges:

I currently have an open trailer with 85" between the fenders will be ordering an enclosed over the winter for the new season. I'm just getting rampovers and calling it a day.
