I am based in the UK and got an allocation. I bought a Shelby GT500 in 2021 in the US, and imported it back to the UK (still own and use it today). Also have a few other cars in the collection.
There's still a lot to learn about the GTD here, we haven't had the preference form yet or heard any details on whether it will even be road legal in Europe and/or UK. Looking forward to finding out more!

I'm pretty sure it will be street legal for Europe since the car that they were using on the Nurburgring had proper german number plates on, not just temporary ones.
Europe is not one set of regs though. It will need be legal in at least one European country to compete here, but they are stopping short of saying all European countries, or the UK specifically... yet.
They have publicly said if not, it will be sold as a track car.
For North America they were a few months out.

Not really. I sent an email and the reply was just....preferences form will be distributed in the near future....
