Allocation Process

Wow, 7500 1-minute videos is 125 hours ... or about 60 full length movies. I assume Dave is the one who watches them all and ranks them.
I think it would definitely be shorter than 125 hrs. since according to Ford (i.e. the Mustang GTD Team), they would not review any video longer than 60 seconds. I do see quite a few videos that are longer than 60 secs.

Hey everyone. Question for the group... I opted not to make a video and spent a lot of time writing thoughtful responses to the survey, generally using the maximum space available for each one. At one point I wrote that if I were better looking I would make a video as a bit of a joke. Was it a mistake not to do a video?

No. Watch some of the videos posted on You Tube.

I watched one that was posted on FB and honestly it was so well done I nearly threw up in my mouth. I couldn’t bring myself to watch any more after that. The guy clearly had the bank, posted a ton of cars, and it looked like a professionally produced video. I can’t compete with that. But I can write!

I would think that they are looking at the personality, back story, and what kind of owner you would be.. I don't think they are judging on professionally produced clips? or at least I hope not LOL😂 .. I was out of the country with almost no internet and just a cell phone and had to make mine there with what I had in my phone to be in on time

Is his video more than 60 secs? If it is, they definitely would not look at it anyway no matter how professionally it was done lol

I read in a dealer bulletin that buyers will have to put 50% down at the time of ordering. I wonder if that will free up some allocations from people who are not willing to do that?

Sounds about right.
This was the same process they used for the Ford Gt program!

I doubt it will. Did not seem to discourage any new GT buyers and the cost was higher. You only have to pay up after you configure your car and the full price is calculated. Your chosen dealer will be ready, willing and able.

It was fun reading through this thread. Post up if you thought you had no chance, and ended up getting an allocation. FWIW, I'm no big shot and work in corporate America and got one. I'm a big supporter of Shelby American and Ford, and must be on a good-boy list as I was invited to the GT500 Track Tour in Vegas, which I attended.
